Write your own chalk poem.

Write your own Matariki chalk poem. You can choose any type of poem that you like BUT it must have 5 Maori words. Talk about your ideas with your teacher and look at this site for some inspiration.
Once you have written your poem then have a go at publishing it. You can use chalk to publish your poem on the footpath or an area outside your house or somewhere flat and dry. If you can't get outside then use chalk on black paper.
Once you have done this- take a photo of your poem or get your teacher to take a photo and send it to Peter at the Health school in Nelson.
I will then publish it on the site.
By the way- we will be running a competition during Matariki and there are some really good prizes!
Maybe your own Matariki poem could be a winner?   There will be two prize groups- Year 1-6 and Year 7-10.
